One feature I’d really love to see added to GTOWizard AI is support for PLO Hi-Lo (Omaha 8 or Better) variants, especially since GTOWizard is already expanding deeper into PLO with PLO4 and planned PLO5/PLO6 support.
PLO8 feels like a natural next step because it introduces an entirely different layer of strategic complexity beyond standard high-only games. Split-pot dynamics create situations involving freerolls, quartering, scoop pressure, nut-low redraws, asymmetric equities, and highly non-linear EV distributions that are difficult to study without solver-style tooling.
What makes the game especially interesting is that players are effectively managing two intertwined equity spaces simultaneously:
A strong AI implementation could visualize things like:
There’s currently a huge gap in advanced study tools for mixed games and split-pot poker. Most solver ecosystems stop at NLHE or standard PLO despite games like PLO8 being strategically richer in many ways.
Since GTOWizard is already building infrastructure for larger-card PLO variants, extending that framework into Hi-Lo games could make the platform one of the first major tools to seriously support modern mixed-game study at scale.Consider adding support for Omaha Hi Lo variants after releasing solutions and tools for PLO4, PLO5 and PLO6.
