As a simpler alternative/first step to my previous suggestion about filtering Analyze Mode by individual tournament, it would be very useful if users could manually select which uploaded files should be included in an analysis.
The Uploads page already separates tournaments into individual hand-history files and provides checkboxes for selecting them. Ideally, a user could simply select one or more files and choose “Analyze selected”, with the resulting report containing only hands from those files.
This would be especially useful for MTT players who play multiple sessions or groups of tournaments on the same day. At the moment, I have sometimes had to delete previously analyzed hand histories before analyzing a second session from the same date, simply to prevent the two sessions from being mixed together.
File selection would allow users to analyze:
one individual tournament
one specific session
any manually selected group of tournaments
without deleting hand histories or relying on date filtering.
This could also complement the more advanced tournament-ID/context suggestion I posted previously. Automatic tournament identification would still be the ideal long-term solution, but manual file selection seems like a relatively simple way to provide much of the needed filtering immediately.
